"This is the final #NewBookTuesday of the year and I'm going out with a bang. Davis's previous novel, X, was a total mindfuck and I'm hoping this is just as good. A novel about art, desire and mortality; a young man is isolated by his extraordinary beauty and his strange friendship with an older painter. Ending this year on a high note. Loved this book. I read it as a horror story about how life changed after the pandemic. One character loses their supernatural beauty, the other is slowly, and privately dying. Neither will be remembered by the world. But they are there for each other. Davey Davis rules."
